Meryl is so much more than a painter, having created work in many fields including jewellery, photography and garden design.
Meryl’s studio is scattered with sketch books, paints and books and it opens out onto the garden which is where you’ll be likely to find her when she’s not painting or reading.
Meryl finds pleasure in being able to express herself through painting and sketching, using it as a way of remembering her travels other than through photos; finding it so much more personal to sketch and paint images from her travels carefully observing the light, shade and detail that she puts down on paper.
