Our Talented Young Artists On The Trail

Before the Trail gets into full swing, we would love to draw your attention to the amazingly talented youth we have in this area...

Corsham Youth Zone Creates

Funded by Corsham Area Board and supported by Peacock Arts Trail HQ, we are delighted to have been able to provide four workshops for the young people at Corsham Youth Zone.

So far they have had a go at street style graffiti art, created tie-dye Day of the Dead t-shirts and visited professional artists studios which included an insight into a day-in-the-life of a ceramicist, photographer and printmaker. Still to come is a workshop exploring natural dyes and materials to create seascapes and landscapes.

The fabulous results of these workshops will be on display on the High Street at Haine and Smith, Corsham Bookshop and Corsham Town Hall, for the duration of the Trail.

A massive thank you to Rachael Holtom at Peacock HQ for making it all happen, as well as the team at CYZ and Corsham Town Council for working so closely with Rachael to ensure the projects' success. We'd also like to thank all the artists involved - Baz Hurlow, Sam Perry, Laura Richards, Jane Scott, David King, Susie Brooks for their inspiring talks and workshops.

And of course the biggest thank you goes to those young people who turned up in great numbers and showed fantastic enthusiasm for having a go!

School Art Competition

Our local primary schools have also been busy creating art based on the theme of 'Wonder' and we've been blown away by their fantastic entries!

You will also be able to view their wonderful creations alongside the results of the Youth Zone Project at Corsham Town Hall for the duration of the trail.
