Maker Spotlight - John Reid

Maker Spotlights: each day we will be focusing on individual exhibitors, exploring their work and finding out what makes them tick...

John is an artist inspired by many years living in Spain where he experienced a freedom of expression embodied by the Spanish culture.

On John’s return to Wiltshire he now paints the pastureland surrounding his home in Whitley where he is afforded an uninterrupted view.

Art has been part of his life from an early age. After studying at the Birmingham College of Art, John went on to spend many years working in television set design. He is now enjoying his return to concentrate solely on painting and is looking forward to sharing his art and seeing the reaction of visitors on the trail.

When John isn’t painting, you can find him listening to jazz and eating and drinking ‘en plein aire’ whenever possible.
