From Melksham, the Trail takes you onwards to Holt where you will find returning artists Brian and Marion King on Leigh Road.
Brian has been sculpting for 15 years since retiring from work and having trained at City of Bath College. Brian is a member of the Cotswold Association of Sculptors and has exhibited at Bath Art Society Open Exhibition. Brian uses plaster, Jesmonite and white cement/marble dust. Some sculptures are cast in bronze. Brian’s Major influence is endeavouring to capture the idea movement.
Marion has been involved in art groups for many years, she is also an art adviser for primary schools in Wiltshire. Marion obtained a first class honours degree in Fine Art at U.W.E where she was awarded the Rebecca Smith Prize for Fine Art Printmaking at end of her course. Marion’s paintings are diverse – from acrylic and mixed media with an interest in texture and colour, to abstract fine art prints.
