Kate’s paintings are full of fun! She loves painting local scenes of Corsham or Bath and then adding a “bit of my own thing” which can be brilliantly rendered and humorous animals – “or just cows”.
She says she lives in Colerne “with my husband and small dog, enjoying the rural life, walks, village pubs and friends. I regularly paint the village using people I know as the basis for my characters – and seem to get away with it, even getting requests to ‘be in one of your pictures’!”
Kate paints at home, happily accompanied by her dog cosying up in her basket, although she occasionally jumps up onto the low windowsill to see what’s going on outside. I have nearly ruined several masterpieces when she suddenly barks ferociously at something, and the paint brush flies out of my hand in fright!”
