Venue #24 – Frank McClean

In Studio I of a grade II listed Tannery in Holt, you will find artwork “to enhance contemplation and encourage the practice of observing in the ‘everyday’ around us”…

Frank has diverse and wide ranging interests and is interested in, “how the practice of observation and increased awareness of personal intention, influence the creative process & affect artworks being produced. I have creative skills and knowledge which I would like to pass on, especially within my local community in the advantages of the creative process. My teaching methods are based on many years of professional experience; techniques in all aspects of drawing & painting are covered in my workshops”.

Frank is lucky enough to be able to walk to his studio which is within a beautiful grade II listed Tannery building dating back to the 18th century, originally founded in 1770 to sort, grade and value fleeces and make high quality chamois leathers and gloves.

When Frank isn’t painting he enjoys being with his family and walking in the beautiful countryside around Holt, especially The Courts Gardens.
