Welcome Simon Fisher to the 2019 Peacock Arts Trail! We’re delighted to have him join us for the first time this year and we can’t wait to see his art up close!
Simon first learned his practice in commercial art studios in Bristol and Bath and evening classes at the West of England Academy in Bristol, and has been working fully professional artist in oils for thirty years before semi retirement in 2010. He has produced a limited edition series of famous liners signed by people associated with the subject – captains and, in regard to Titanic, survivors.
Simon is inspired by the challenge of a new commission, then sketching up the scene before applying the first brush strokes. Simon says he could not live without his talent motivating him everyday.
When not painting, you can find Simon, “walking, for thinking purposes! Tennis, model-making, writing and listening to classical music”.
