Maker Spotlight - Gaynor Leverett-Jaques

Maker Spotlights: each day we will be focusing on individual exhibitors, exploring their work and finding out what makes them tick...

Gaynor is a painter inspired by nature. Making the most of the opportunity on her early morning dog walks, Gaynor captures Wiltshire’s beauty on her phone to later work up in her studio. Having worked with oil paints for years, Gaynor has been experimenting with acrylic and mixed media which gives her a flexibility in her practice. By attending new art courses, she pushes herself out of her comfort zone and learns new techniques which also keeps her inspired.

When Gaynor isn’t painting she co-hosts a video blog - artchatter.blog - and podcast with fellow West Country artist, Karen George. We share the ups and downs of life in our studios, offering tips we have found useful. Basically, we chatter art, or as we call it: artchatter!
