Maker Spotlight - Emelie Hryhoruk

Maker Spotlights: each day we will be focusing on individual exhibitors, exploring their work and finding out what makes them tick...

Emelie is known for her bold, colourful portraiture and mindful living alongside her art practice, creating powerful Pop Art inspired paintings using acrylic, spray paint, vibrant colours and powerful fragmented portraits.

She started to use spray paint by chance in 2018, and they changed her practice completely. Emile says, “the freedom they bring is breath-taking and the colours!!! Love them”.

Emelie wants her art to encourage conversations around how we are feeling, our mental health, our vulnerabilities and our strengths. Using her art to raise money for Mental Health Charities such as Samaritans she takes great pride in continuing to help herself and others live a more colourful, mindful lifestyle.
