Heading out of central Corsham, we say hello to first time exhibitor Janet Arnall with her sheet metal sculptures for both garden and home.
Janet Arnall –
Janet is mostly self-taught but picked up the further skills she needed to achieve her art from her husband. She started by turning an old broken spade into a piece of garden art for her nephew as a birthday present. Janet’s creative practice involves working mainly in metal, each piece has to go through a process of design, cutting, forming and finishing.
Janet’s inspiration can come from anywhere, mostly nature but she affirms that there is always a feeling of importance that she must achieve her vision “every step of each piece is enjoyable as I watch it evolve into its own unique form”. Janet’s says her art “focuses my mind, strengthens my body and feeds my soul”.
