Maker Spotlights: each day we will be focusing on individual exhibitors, exploring their work and finding out what makes them tick...
Galit’s work is an ongoing exploration of materials, structure and embellishment. After completing her degree in Art and Design, exploring textiles and printmaking have been the basis of her work ever since.
Galit works mainly with textiles and stitch to create varied pieces. Working to commission, her inspiration comes from the natural world as well as cultural aspects. Galit has a love for colour and life, and this is represented in her quilts, cushions and pictures.
When not creating, you can find Galit visiting exhibitions, walking in the countryside, taking photos and spending time with family and friends.
Galit is inspired by nature, cultural elements and the materials she works with. She explains, “art allows my imagination, design skills and creative ability to flourish and supports my well-being.”
