Artist Statement:

Jon is a Corsham based potter who works as a structural engineer in Bath, which is evident in his work with symmetry and precision in his forms. He produces hand thrown functional ware in a range of homemade high flow glazes to generate dynamic finishes. He also uses slipcasting to reproduce digital designs which are finished in the same glazes. Jon was a contestant on Series 6 of the Channel 4 show The Great Pottery Throwdown 2023 which has led to a number of interesting new styles in his work.
