Artist Statement:

I am a self-employed carpenter, painter and my studio work is my personal creative outlet. I use locally-sourced wood and re-invent new and original pieces. My pieces emerge from the form and grain of the natural wood and the challenge is to create a piece of art with a new function. I am inspired by nature and the pieces I make are usually following a very organic and natural form. My studio is a practical place full of tools and work in progress, with New Farm being a fabulous place to hide or enjoy socialising with the other artisans and the farm community based there.
