EXHIBITOR 2023

Mary Wilkinson

Artform(s):

Painting

Artist Statement:

I am a professional painter and my work is inspired by the land and sea. In my paintings I explore the underlying structure of the land, the power of the sea and the transient qualities of both. I am drawn to the ancient remote landscapes and their atmosphere and apparent fragility in relation to light, rain and wind. It is that fleeting moment in time I try to capture. My medium is oil on panel and also pastels. I exhibit regionally and in London and I am part of the Appledore Gallery in Devon.
