EXHIBITOR 2023
Bath Stone Sculpture
Artform(s):
Sculpture
Artist Statement:
I am a geologist, stone mason and sculptor working with stone coming from a mine less than a mile from my workshop. The aim of the simple geometric forms I create is that they are easy on the eye but generate some curiosity or feel connected to our sense of touch. The pieces are for indoor or outdoor and I do take commissions. All pieces are worked using hand tools using the principles of stone masonry that have remained unchanged for millennia.
