Artist Statement:

I design and make handbuilt ceramics, some for functional domestic use and a range that explores the theme of the Vessel. I use terracotta clay, coloured slips, monoprinting, scraffito and glaze to create patterned surfaces, frequently making use of symbols that are important to me. Some of my work has an implied or prescribed function whilst other work is decorative or for the viewer to make choices about its 'use'.
