Compton's Glass Workshop
Glass simply ’does it’ for me. I love the colour, shadows and tactile nature of kiln formed glass, the instant results, scientific qualities and the ‘ta-da’ factor of opening the kiln (which is always a source of excitement and trepidation!) I enjoy experimenting with colour combinations, surface texture, adding other materials to the glass as well as playing with the form and function. My recent work has focused on the vastness of space, how insignificant we really are, and also the extraordinary magic of life on our own planet, in particular, the beauty and fragility of botanical forms.
