Artist Statement:

I am an oil painter with a love of wildlife and the natural world. Animals and birds are my favourite subjects to paint because of their uniqueness, sense of character and the simple joy that they bring to us. I enjoy the challenge of painting fur and feathers and I am captivated by the idea of bringing the outside world into peoples’ homes through art. I particularly love oil paints as a medium because of their depth, vibrancy and the way that they allow me to build a picture through many layers.
